A new cigar line, La Tradicion Perdomo Reserve Limited Golf Edition, features a five-year-old Connecticut shade-grown wrapper and rich Nicaraguan fillers. Each cigar is traditionally handmade and cedar aged, and the line will be offered in the following sizes, in emerald green 25-count Spanish cedar boxes: Putter (4 3/4 x 44 petit corona); Fore! (4 3/4 x 44 x 56 x 52 figurado); Iron (5 x 54 robusto); Eagle (6 x 54 Epicure); Birdie (6 x 54 belicoso); Double Eagle (7 x 54 Churchill); Double Eagle Tubo (7 x 54 Churchill in tubo); Driver (7 x 54 torpedo); and Hole-In-One (9 x 52 "A"). The Double Eagle Tubo and the Hole-In-One will be available in 10-count boxes.

The Perdomo Golf program will also offer cigar enthusiasts "The Caddy," a unique gift pack designed for golf foursomes. It includes four La Tradicion Perdomo Reserve Limited Golf Edition Double Eagle cigars in attractive green tubes, four customized golf balls, and a Perdomo cigar cutter. Tobacconists will also market golf attire, including Perdomo golf caps, and polo shirts exclusively designed by Perry Ellis International.

Zanzibar Classic Clove is described as delightfully smooth, blended with a distinctive taste of crackling clove and a fascinating, classic tobacco aroma. Zanzibar Lights Clove offers a rich, sweet taste with an aromatic flavor and an exceptional blend of crackling clove for a soothing, silky-smooth character.

All three blends are presented in color-coordinated clamshell boxes for easy variety identification.

The Avo 80th is a 6 x 52 belicoso with a filler blend of four select ligero and seco grades of Dominican Piloto and San Vicente tobaccos, finished with a special sun-grown Ecuadorian wrapper. The cigars are packaged, 24 to a box, in sumptuous, leather-bound boxes, priced at $360. The cigars are available in a limited edition of only 8,000 boxes.

In addition, Avo is offering 80 limited edition humidors, featuring 80 cigars from four of the now-rare Avo anniversary cigar lines. The humidor includes 20 each of the Avo 80th, Avo LE5, Avo 22, and Avo 75th Anniversary. Each humidor is numbered, signed by Avo himself, and comes with one of Avo's signature hand-made hats and an invitation for two to his birthday party in Santiago, Dominican Republic on June 23. The humidors retail for $2,000.

Winners of the sweepstakes - which will include one consumer and one Altadis retailer - will receive a gift certificate redeemable for an "adorable golden retriever puppy" at a local breeder. Altadis emphasizes that winners will be carefully screened and qualified by the breeder.
