TOBACCO PRODUCTS AND INDUSTRY PROMOTIONS
Zino Platinum Crown Series Now in Tubos
Zino Platinum has released two new additions to their Crown Series collection: the Chubby Especial and Barrel Tubos.
The two popular frontmarks are now packaged in individually designed platinum-colored metal tubes with an embossed Zino Platinum logo and a gold band. The Barrel is a 6 x 60 toro and the Chubby Especial is a 5 7/8 x 61 perfecto. Each of the Crown Series shapes comes packaged in a finely tooled metal box containing three cigars and custom black Zino Platinum matches, and the new tubos are also available individually.
Zino Platinum cigars all contain a filler of three Dominican and one Peruvian tobacco; 90% of the filler is highest-quality ligero. The binder is Connecticut-seed tobacco grown in the U.S.A., and the wrapper is a Connecticut-seed leaf grown in Ecuador. All the tobaccos are aged four to five years in the Dominican Republic. Zino Platinum Crown Series cigars are available to a limited number of select retailers nationwide.

Zen Rolls Out New Tobacco Flavors
Six years ago, Zen hemp-based cigarette rolling papers from HBI Tobacco pioneered the flavored rolling tobacco market with the launch of the first U.S.-made flavored rolling tobacco. Now, Zen has launched new flavors and new-look, stay-fresh zip-lock packaging. Full Flavor, Light, Menthol, Blueberry, Strawberry, Peach, Cherry, and Vanilla varieties are now available.
The new introductions and updated look follow the completion of numerous market surveys and tests over the past few years. The moves were made to increase retail sales and customer satisfaction, affording retailers the opportunity to increase their share of the roll-your-own (RYO) market.

Dynamite Adds Bands, Rothschild Shape
Indianhead has added a new Rothschild shape to its top-rated line of handmade, long-filler Dynamite premium cigars. The 4 1/2 x 50 cigar is available in Cuban Corojo and maduro wrappers. It is the fourth Dynamite shape, joining two parejos and a belicoso, and carries a suggested retail price of $3.00.
"The Rothschild shape offers veteran smokers a short, but robust-flavored smoke," says Bill Bock, president of Indianhead. "The 50 ring gauge takes advantage of the Dynamite five-nation blend, which delivers a deeply complex flavor and aroma that are surprisingly smooth for the power the cigar delivers."
Indianhead is now shipping all Dynamite cigars with bands. The novel packaging plays on the dynamite theme, consisting of rough-hewn, 24-count boxes with the words "Dynamite Power Packed" burned into the wood.
Indianhead is supporting retailers with a national consumer advertising and publicity campaign in the major cigar media.

Diademas Finas Cigars Celebrate Zino Davidoff's 100th
To commemorate the birth 100 years ago of Zino Davidoff - perhaps the world's best-known cigar connoisseur - Davidoff of Geneva has released an exclusive premium cigar: the Diademas Finas. The cigar, notable for its resemblance to the original Diademas created by Zino in 1948, is a classic perfecto with a length of 6 3/4 and a ring gauge of 50.
The packaging also invokes nostalgia, with a wooden box containing 10 cigars, wrapped in special paper depicting a photo of Zino Davidoff in front of his Geneva shop around 1940.
