Casa Toraņo was the private blend the Toraņo family smoked for years and was just introduced to the public last year. It is the mildest cigar in the company's product lineup.

"We are exploring different ways to introduce the humidor to smokers, including a plan to stock it with special-release samples," said Charlie Toraņo, president of Toraņo Cigars. The company also plans to follow this launch with a dedicated, in-store tower display that will hold up to ten boxes of Toraņo cigars. The humidor will be a finely-crafted, furniture-grade piece, with several levels of shelves, glass windows, and humidification. "Retailers with crowded walk-in humidors have expressed interest in a stand-alone Toraņo display," states Toraņo.

Celestial Cognac is unique among Heaven flavors. The company developed a special flavoring treatment that adds two more steps to the company's proprietary five-point process, delivering more cognac flavor, "which is a hit with those who appreciate the flavors of good cognac and a fine cigar," notes Phillips.

"Heaven cigars are known for a richer flavor profile than many other flavored cigars, due to our use of only top-quality tobaccos," says Phillips. With the addition of the expanded flavoring process, for Celestial Cognac, Heavenly is able to produce "a rich-tasting and balanced cigar, with flavorings that manage to retain their delicate nuances," says Phillips.

Celestial Cognac is available in Petite (5 x 30) and Corona (5 1/2 x 46) shapes, and are hand made of 100% long-filler Dominican tobacco. They are presented in 10- and 25-count cedar boxes. In addition, Celestial Cognac mini-cigars (Cherubs) will be offered in 50-count boxes and clamshell tins of 10. The suggested retail price is $3.00 for Petites and $4.00 for Coronas.

Swisher Sweets Peach Cigarillos have a "fresh peach aroma" and "juicy flavor" combined with the "ever-popular signature sweet taste of the Swisher Sweet brand." The small cigarillo size is perfect for a quick smoke, notes the manufacturer. The product is available in five-packs, bonus box 60s, and 25-count impulse displays.

"My goal is to seek out extraordinary tobaccos for special release, and often these discoveries yield only limited quantities of superlative cigars," explains company president Philip Wynne. "Our previous limited releases were Centenario and Fusion, both of which sold out. Excellence is now ready, presented in boxes of 48 cigars, and only 1,000 boxes will be made available.

Medium-bodied, Excellence is made in a 6 x 42 size only, a shape which Wynne says is his personal favorite. It is distinguished by a twisted-flag, or "curly" head. The filler and binder are grown near Villa Gonzalez, Dominican Republic, and are aged a full seven years. The wrapper is extra-select, true Cameroon tobacco, known for its sweet, mellow flavor profile. Wynne describes Excellence as "a spectacular cigar, with the subtle and balanced blend of flavors that only come from patiently aged tobaccos."

Suggested retail pricing for Excellence is $8.00. The cigar was previewed at RTDA 2004, but is just now available.
